Serato is one of the world leaders in audio software for professional DJs and musicians. World-renowned artists such as Fatboy Slim, DJ Snake, Major Lazer, Disclosure, and Timbaland love our products and use them on a regular basis.

A rare opportunity has opened up within our Brand team and we are now looking for a stand-out marketer to join Serato as the Social Media and Community Manager. You will be reporting to the Chief Brand Officer and be responsible for a global audience of over 2.5 million DJs and Music Producers. The role is based at HQ in Auckland, New Zealand.

Summary of the position

To leverage social platforms with the aim of improving Serato’s global brand awareness, consideration, and preference. Grow and maintain Serato’s online communities. Support the communication of Serato’s products through associated campaigns and activations.

Social Media duties

  • Develop and execute campaigns across Serato's social media and community platforms with the aim of effective, measurable results.
  • Be at the forefront of social landscape changes, providing timely perspectives to senior management on new developments and potential opportunities for the Serato brand.
  • Provide assistance and advice to Product Marketing on ways to increase product usage through social media initiatives.
  • Monitor, stay informed, and communicate to the business about trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, strategy, and best practices.
  • Develop on-brand, third-party content opportunities via brand partnerships or influencer relationships that leverage new audiences.
  • Be the subject matter expert for any questions related to the creation of social content, its purpose, and its placement approach.
  • Support trafficking duties to ensure work on Serato’s social media channels is on-brand, relevant, timely, and accurate.

Community duties

  • Regularly engage with Serato’s online communities with one and two-way communications.
  • Ensure Serato’s communities are grown and maintained via sustainable methods.
  • Understand and leverage the different genres, languages, and cultures across the different global markets that Serato operates in.
  • Ensure that at all times a customer-centric approach is taken with how Serato manages and engages with its communities.
