About the Role

The Chief Brand Officer is a key member of the Serato Leadership Team and responsible for setting the creative direction for the brand while executing the brand expression globally.

The Chief Brand Officer is responsible for Serato’s Brand Experience. You’ll set the tone of everything the community sees of Serato, as well as guiding the atmosphere and culture of the company. Everything everyone sees, hears, and feels will be led by you.

What You'll Do

  • Set the marketing strategies and brand positioning in a highly competitive environment.
  • Craft messaging and positioning in the market; competitive and market analysis
  • Jointly define and constantly refine Serato’s Brand Strategy, Purpose and Essence
  • Advocate for, and coach Serato’s employees to embody the brand
  • Execute Brand Strategy, ensuring our best possible customer outcomes
  • Work with our teams to create business outcomes in a style that reflects Serato’s Brand Essence
  • Manage Marketing, Creative and Artist Relations teams
  • Participate as a member of Serato’s Executive Management team

Who You Are

  • Have a proven history of delivering a world-dominating lifestyle brand
  • Experience in the recorded or live music industry
  • A lover and ravenous consumer of music, with an envious encyclopedic knowledge of US Hip-Hop/R&B/Pop, Lifestyle, Brand & Culture
  • Strong EQ; heavy collaborator, low on ego, can partner with all levels to mobilise cross-functional work and deliver with speed.
  • Substantial experience in all areas of marketing including digital product marketing, social media, loyalty & payment, marketing sciences & analytics, media relations, brand & communications, events and partnerships
  • A known innovative brand builder and has led and inspired teams and customers through transformation.
  • Unshakable understanding of internet technology, media and trends
  • Solid understanding of media production, copyright and intellectual property
  • Senior Management experience
  • Reliable understanding of User Experience and Design Methodologies
